FEBRUARY WARDROBE LOOK BOOK: 10 Winter Fashion Ideas
The winter season is not a particularly fun time for millions of people.
Winter depression takes over many people's lives and ruins their perception of the entire season.
I think one thing we can all agree on, though, is fall & winter = sweater weather!!
My favorite fashion time-of-the-year.
Staying stylish and warm during the chillier seasons is a must-have, especially in January & February when the snow is falling.
If you're looking for cute outfits during the winter with items you already own, definitely check these outfit ideas out!
1. Simply Layered Flannel
an oversized comfy flannel and a cozy turtleneck crewneck make for the perfect stylish and practical winter outfit.
*PRO TIP: make sure to layer your flannel combo with chunky gold jewelry, a black and gold belt, and adorable winter boots!*
2. Puffer Jacket & Combat Boots
a cropped puffer jacket layered on top of a graphic tee or comfy crewneck & your favorite pair of black combat boots create the perfect sleek but still functional outfit. Fitting you wonderfully for those freezing February temperatures.
*PRO TIP: tie the entire outfit together with a matching crossbody bag and a cute winter hat and you're all set!*
3. Casual Valentines Day Outfit
a beautiful, flowy, red or pink top looks perfect with a pair of comfortable jeans and stunning simple gold jewelry.
*PRO TIP: add a festive red or pink crossbody purse to complete the look, this will tie it all together.*
4. Monochromatic Jeans & Chunky Sweater
a chunky knit sweater of any color is a wardrobe essential, and if you're a sweater weather lover like I am, I know your closet is mainly sweaters. find your favorite ones and grab a pair of pants in the same shade range.
*PRO TIP: your pants, purse, accessory and sweater do not need to be the same shade, any shade of the same color works. That's what is so easy about creating a monochromatic look.*
5. Spiced Up 'Little Black Dress'
The little black dress is a fan-favorite and the ultimate classic outfit choice.
You'd be surprised how easy it is to elevate your favorite basic outfit choice into a sleek and gorgeous look with just a few added accessories.
Here are 5 ways to style a little black dress:
1. Gold Jewelry and Thigh High Boots
Chunky gold jewelry easily spices up any outfit, especially when you plan on dressing sexy and modern. Faux leather thigh high's are an easy and stylish way to keep your legs warm and wear heels without paying for it at the end of the night. This dress & accessory combo will make you stand out, look sexy, and stay a little bit warmer.
2. Oversized Leather Jacket, Sleek Heels and Slick Back Bun
An oversized leather jacket keeps you warm while looking modern and sexy at the same time. A slicked back hairstyle, gold jewelry and heels will make you look expensive and luxe. Perfect for a night out with the girls or a fancy dinner with your significant other.
3. Casual Layered Look
A gorgeous way to style your long sleeve turtleneck is to layer it underneath your bodycon black dress and add a chunky black belt on top. You'll stay cozy, casual and cute. Perfect for fall & winter.
4. Thigh High Boots & An Overcoat
If you don't own a thick and warm overcoat, your dad or husband probably do. Check in with a man in your life and borrow his overcoat, because they're perfect for a layered look. Add some thigh high boots and you'll be set!
5. Underneath Not on-top
A wonderful way to utilize your black mini-dress is to layer a chunky sweater on top, slap some leggings on, some ankle boots and a cropped leather jacket. Your dress can act as a gorgeous mini skirt. No one will know the difference!
Thank you for reading! I hope this post helped spark your creativity while planning out your outfits. Happy Valentines Day!
